This Insteon switch is perfect for controlling non-dimming loads such as outdoor lighting, CFL or fluorescent lighting, motors, fans and the like. The Sense function can be used to switch the light on when 120V is detected on the sense line. Any linked Insteon scenes and switches will also turn on. When power is removed from the sense line, the light goes off. This two-in-one product can be used with or with the sense feature active.
This relay switch features true rocker action - tap the top to turn on, tap the bottom to turn off. It's very intuitive for anyone in the house to use. This switch can be a member of multiple lighting scenes, allowing a single keypad press or signal to command multiple switches and dimmers to go to a pre-determined user selectable brightness level or off/on status!
2 Way support means that it will respond to Insteon and X10 status requests as well as transmitting it's status when it's used locally at the switch. The relay in this unit is very quiet - about 80% quieter than most relay switches - similar to the small click heard when turning a standard decora rocker on or off. The colours of the LED indicators and paddles can both be changed by purchasing a colour change kit. Please note that no trim plate is included, screwless wallplates are available.
