2486DAL6 - Smarthome Insteon KeypadLinc Dimmer 6 Button Almond

The Smarthome KeypadLinc combines a 600W dimmer and X10/Insteon controller in a Decora style 6 button keypad with stylish pad-printed keys. The middle four buttons can be used to control other devices or to trigger elegant lighting scenes to control multiple receivers with a single button press.

Clear buttons are available (part# 2401CLB) if you wish to print your own personalized button labels. 8 Button face plates and colour frame kits are available in a variety of colours to match any situation or decor.

The extra KeypadLinc keys can be programmed to control any X10 or Insteon address for off on, as well as dimming and scene control. Each KeypadLinc button can perform up to four different functions thanks to a programmable "toggle" ability. Press once for ON, press again for OFF. Press and hold to brighten, press and hold again to dim. If you prefer, turn off the toggle feature to send the same command every time. Best of all, all the settings are electronically set (no code wheels!) and held in non-volatile EEPROM memory. The lights on each button can even indicate the controlled device on/off status.

The built-in dimmer supports incandescent lights and supports X10 pre-set dims so your lights will go from off to an exact level. When turned on, the lights gently fade on, and fade off when turned off to prolong bulb life and provide a more dramatic presentation. It can also be a member of X10 and Insteon lighting scenes.

For a perfect finish, screwless wallplates are available. It's amazing how much difference a lack of screws makes to the final appearance.
