Smarthome's value line Icon provides most of the same Insteon functionality as their more expensive modules but at a lower cost.  The Icon lamp dimmer can be used with any plug-in incandescent lighting up to 150W and can be controlled by any Insteon controller or transmitter.

The Icon lamp module has a fixed 2 second ramp rate when turning lights on/off to increase bulb life and to create an elegant visual impact.    It supports pre-set on levels so your light will always turn on directly to the level you prefer.  Of course you can brighten or dim it at will.  The module is also scene compatible supporting up to 30 Insteon scenes. 

The Icon lamp module can be programmed with an X10 house and unit code for X10 control but it does no support X10 scenes.
