74551 - Smarthome Insteon IOLinc Garage Door Control and Status Kit
- Magnetic contacts are used to create an indicator as to the current status of your garage door
- Use any INSTEON controller (sold separately) to remotely open or close your garage door
- Kit includes everything needed to monitor and operate your garage door via your INSTEON network
- INSTEON compatibility for outstanding performance
Monitor and control your garage door using your Insteon network. This kit takes advantage of the IOLinc's two way ability to both control the garage door and also monitor it's status using the included magnetic contact. You can link the IOLinc to a KeypadLinc and have a convenient button that lights up when the garage door is open, and also use a KeypadLinc button to open/close the garage door. Combine this with an advanced controller like the ISY99 for remote control.
Kit includes:
- IOLinc Insteon Low Voltage/Contact Closure interface
- Garage door magnetic contact
- 20 foot 2 conductor 22 guage wire
Caution: You should only remotely close a garage door when you know it's safe. Use of safety beam devices can increase the safety of such a system and are often required by law. Check your local municipality for laws regarding remote door closing.
