It can be powered either by AAA batteries or HVAC powered. It supports most low voltage systems including 24VAC, standard heat/cool, 2 stage heat, 2 stage cool, heat pumps. Features a large, easy to read LCD display. Functional as a standalone 5-1-1 programmable thermostat when NOT enrolled in a ZWave network
