Simply Brilliant security panel lamp module kit is a super simple way to provide lighting automation based on a low voltage or dry contact closure from a security/alarm panel or any similar system. By programming the panel's trigger, one could create simple automation events such as:
- Never enter a dark home again - turn on lights when the security panel is disarmed
- Turn on lights in the event of a fire or alarm event
- Turn on lights based on a zone trigger when the front or back door opens
- Use security panel's RF remote to turn on lights
This kit includes 2 UPB light switches and an IO module with 3 inputs on the module. The IO module inputs are pre-configured, so no programming is required, as follows:
- Input 1 - Turn one light on/off
- Input 2 - Blink both/all lights on/off
- Input 3 - Turn both/all lights on/off
UPB is a robust, exceptionally strong powerline technology with powerful and flexible switches and reliable, secure communication. Once the starter package is in place the system can be expanded to control additional lights or for whole house automation.
In homes larger than 2000 square feet or more than 100 feet from the supply transformer, a phase coupler is required.
