EZEYE - Simplehomenet 1011A Light Sensor
Virtually all automation systems run events or turn on lights at dusk or dawn, and typically dusk is 'calculated' based on a solar schedule in the automation controller. But this doesn't take in to account overcast or foggy days or several other variables that change when it is truly dark. The EZEYE light sensor provides an input to your automation system based on true light levels, eliminating the guesswork.
The model 5010A EZEYE has a similar spectral sensitivity to light as the human eye making it perfect for detecting light levels needed for automation routines.
The EZEYE has both an analog and digital output. The analog output offers a voltage from 0-4.5VDC while the digital output provides a contact closure triggered by the light level set by the on-board user-adjustable potentiometer.
The EZEye is perfect for use with any automation device including alarm panels like the Elk M1 Gold, X10 or Insteon automation IO devices including the EZIO6I or EZIO2X4 or any other product that can accept an analog or dry contact closure input.
SimplehomeNet EZEYE Features:
- Ambient light detector with spectral sensitivity similar to the human eye
- Used to provide automation/security triggers based on light/dark/daylight/night
- Provides both analog and digital output
- Operating voltage 5-24VDC, less than 5mA
- Digital (on/off) output triggered by light level determined by adjusting the potentiometer on the back of the sensor
- Analog output from 0-4.5VDC
