The Skylink AAA+ ML-100 Home Smart Centre is a complete security system package in a wall-mountable package with built-in rechargeable back-up battery. The system is designed to provide security and automation capabilities for your home or cottage while maintaining DIY simplicity. The standard package comes with 2 wireless door/window sensors, a wireless motion detector and a key-chain remote for arming/disarming the system. It can be expanded with a total of 10 sensors including door/window, motion, water, keypads, keychain remotes, flood sensors,temperatures sensors, garage door sensors. Wireless sensors employ Skylink's rolling code technology to randomly change codes each time they're triggered, ensuring secure wireless communications.
The owner can call the system from any touch-tone telephone or cellular phone to check alarm status and arm/disarm the system. They can also control Skylink lamp/appliance modules remotely by telephone (modules sold separately).
In alert mode the system will notify occupants of triggered sensors by beeping, flashing LED and voice announcements. In alarm mode, the alarm will call up to 5 pre-programmed telephone numbers and provide voice announcement of the breached zone. This way the home/cottage owner can protect their premises without paying for monthly monitoring fees.
The alarm console has a master password for arming/disarming/programming as well as a secondary password for arming/disarming and a duress password. The duress password can be entered if someone is forcing the occupant to disarm the system and it will stop the alarm but will also silently dial the emergency number(s) to notify of a panic sitation.
The keychain remote has a panic button which will call the programmed telephone numbers and issue a "panic" announcement in case of an emergency with the homeowner present. This keychain button, or the optional wrist bracelet remote can be used for elderly or immobile individuals to summon assitance if they cannot reach a telephone to call for help.
A wireless keypad can be mounted near the door to provide arming/disarming from the front, back or garage doors. Flood sensors are a great way to prevent huge water damage by notifying the homeowner quickly when flood starts.
