- Product Information
The AZPULL can be used by anyone who installs cable for voice, data, fibre optic networks, video, alarms, paging systems, access control, CATV, music, property or energy management systems to save both time and money. This cabling tool allows you to pull cable easily around corners, in the same way as you would through conduit. Fully reusable, it has no moving parts to cut or pinch cables. It can be mounted in seconds and allows you to keep the cables at ceiling level while pulling. When securing the cables in place, they are removed from the tool through a slot on the back side of the elbow, and the tool can be removed as quickly as it is mounted. It has a smooth inner surface to allow cables to glide around corners and preserves the integrity of cables by ensuring that bends are not too sharp for the cable’s minimum bend radius. With the cables at ceiling level during installation, the hazard and inconvenience of having long lengths of cable laid out on the floor is avoided and the cable is protected from damage by being out of the way. About 25 cables of CAT5e size can be pulled through it at a time, or about 4 or 5 25pr cables. It can be left in place after installation if desired; however in a busy location where you may need to pull more cables through it, you can remove the cables from the elbow and secure them next to it, keeping them free of the next set of cables to be pulled through. For most runs, 2 or 3 corners are possible using this product. It helps to have another person pulling the cables off the reels or out of the boxes to avoid adding drag to the pull tension. You can use a small piece of a household candle to wax the inside of the pull elbow so that the cables slide more smoothly. The AZPULL can be mounted by screwing in place, using beam clamps, using cable ties, using vise grips or by using scrap wire.
